38 years ago today,
I married the man of my dreams, my best friend and lover
The vows we said were:
"to have and to hold from this day forward,
for better,
for worse,
for richer,
for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to love, and cherish,
(we made them leave out 'and to obey':D),
till death us do part."
Every word of those vows have been woven throughout our marriage.
We have held strong through everything life has shown us
and in the process have become one.
He makes me whole.
Happy Anniversary to the man of my dreams, my best friend and lover...
I love you.
I have been stitching like crazy, and have decided that this week....I 'will' get some finishing done! hah! but that is my goal! Its good to have goals right?
Homespun Elegance Snow (I am going to finish into an ornie) This was my first Homespun Elegance piece and I am totally enthralled with her designs......uhoh!!
Found this one in my finish drawer (not a clue what design this is??? anyone recognize it?....anyway going to finish as a flat fold....Have not done one before so thought I would try it :D.
This is the beautiful freebie from Brenda and will be my second crow to add to my beginning 'murder'....I am on the lookout now for more crow patterns :D....will give me a 'reason' to add to my stash, hehehe.
I am working on a halloween ornie and christmas ornie right now and will hopefully show you those next time.
I wanted to show you a picture of a fall tree in our backyard, the day I took it (last week) the sun was shining on it and it was just glowing.......
.
Today it (1 week later) looks like this:
Big Sigh.........
Best stitches to all of you and hope your week is wonderful
Cindy
Great stitching! Its amazing how many different takes on the freebie I've seen from Brenda, every stitcher adds their own personal twist to it.

Glad you snapped the pic of the tree - it was beautiful! We are losing trees around here (from the drought) I noticed even more dead ones when I was out doing errands yesterday. :(
Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching looks great!
Our trees are have shed there leaves also, wish the fall colors could last a little longer.
Happy Stitching
Denise
Happy anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching looks fantastic. I love the finishes. That rabbit is adorable! Homespun Elegance--I just LOVE their ornament charts. I think they & PS do the best Christmas designs. I'm trying to do a bunch of crow designs, too--love those birds, even if DH calls them rats with wings. LOL
Happy Anniversary to you and your husband! Lovely stitching! I'm a fan of Homespun Elegance, too. I've stitched several of Sandra's designs and her ornaments are some of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteYour tree pictures made me laugh. It's true those beautiful leaves don't last long.
Cindy, thanks for visiting my blog! :)
Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!...Just came across your blog and I am following you now. Greetings from Indiana...Heidi
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, Cindy. It is clear that you and your husband have a beautiful relationship and a wonderful marriage. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteLove your "Snow" piece...so appropriate for the weather that we have had over the weekend in New England! The beautiful brown bunny piece is called "Berry Patch Rabbitt" (Cedar Hill). My husband, who is also a stitcher, stitched this design for our daughter who loves brown bunnies.
Your pumpkin & crow piece is wonderful too...love the colours!
Cindy what beautiful stitch work you do! I used to cross stitch but haven't done any in years, trading it in for a paint brush and camera. Congratulations on your anniversary. I lost my hubby unexpectedly three years ago. Yesterday would have been our forty second anniversary. We were extremely close, truly one, and the adjustments of the past three years haven't been easy. But, God, family and friends are good and have helped me every step of the way. Thank you for visiting my new blog and for your lovely comment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching! Happy Belated Anniversary.
